Social Dance

Music, laughter, positive interaction… both guys & gals agree that our 6-week Social Dance class is a highlight of the winter!  Led by professional instructors, students learn the foundations of Swing and Waltz, along with some pointers in etiquette, posture, and confidence – useful skills for college & beyond!

Students partner-up when they arrive, or can bring a set dance partner.  Most participants dance in their socks, or you can bring leather-soled dance shoes as no “street-shoes” are allowed on the dance floor.  Either casual-wear or dress-up is fine – we just ask that your outfit is appropriately modest.  Also, please bring a water bottle!

Social Dance meets on Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Grand Unity Event Center just west of Petoskey on US-31.  This year’s dates are February 7, 14, 21 & 28 – and March 7 & 21.  There’s no session on March 14 and we’ll have March 28 available as a make-up date (in case any sessions are cancelled due to bad weather).

The cost for Social Dance is $45 for the full 6-week session, or $10 per class.
