PETOSKEY – March 15, 2022 – St. Michael High School (SMHS), Northern Michigan’s only Classical Catholic high school, today announced the appointment of an all-new Board of Directors. The new Board members are:
- Julie Wieman, President – Owner and COO of MacGregor Plumbing & Heating of Harbor Springs;
- Josh Mercer, Vice-President – Editor of The Loop, a CatholicVote newsletter with 200,000 subscribers;
- Doug Buday, Secretary – local entrepreneur with prior Board experience at St. Michael;
- Bret Keefe, Treasurer – Private Banker with Fifth Third Bank, Petoskey branch;
- Kendall Hayes – Business Manager, St. Mary Parish of Charlevoix, and;
- Bryan Nolan – local licensed civil engineer.
The new Board members are talented professionals, each with decades of experience and long-term ties to the Little Traverse Bay region and its Catholic community.
Commenting on the appointment, SMHS Board President Julie Wieman stated, “We are excited to lead and serve St. Michael and its families as we continue forward as a fully-integrated member of the Chesterton Schools Network. We remain committed to a culture of excellence, professionalism, and transparency as we’ve consistently demonstrated through our management of the school during the transition period of the last nine months.”
