PETOSKEY – December 7, 2022 – St. Michael High School (SMHS), Northern Michigan’s only Classical Catholic high school, is pleased to invite you to its Christmas concert, “Gaudete! Make a Joyful Noise”!
Performances are this Saturday and Sunday, December 10 & 11, at 7:00pm both nights, at Crooked Tree Arts Center, 461 E. Mitchell St., in downtown Petoskey. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family and can be purchased at the door or by calling the schoolhouse at 231-489-3302.
SMHS Drama Director Mrs. Maartje Nolan proclaimed, “Gaudete! is a Christmas concert for the whole family and the whole community! The students will sing traditional carols and perform light opera by Gilbert and Sullivan. We’ll wrap up with a sing-along of more carols, all together with the audience. We look forward to seeing you at this joyful event celebrating the Advent and Christmas seasons!”
“Beauty is a major signpost of the True and the Good, and as such it’s in our core curriculum at St. Michael,” added SMHS Headmaster Mr. Andrew Moe. “With guidance from accomplished faculty, our students develop the capacity to recognize and produce works of beauty in visual arts, music, and dramatic performance. I’m consistently impressed with the work of our students and look forward to this performance! Please join us!”
